Project aim & Objective: Establishing effective and economically viable model of recycling in the cross-border region; Income generation and employment for informal waste collectors- establishing recycling yards and enable formal, safe and sustainable employment; Broadening networks of cooperation of the informal collectors.
Results: Established primary recycling in the targeted region; tones of packaging waste daily, diverted into the recycling stream; enhanced attractiveness of the region as a result of a cleaner environment; Direct Employment for informal waste collectors; Increased revenues for informal waste collectors; Lowered operation cost for the Public Utility companies.

Results: Awareness on the need for a sustainable use of natural resources of Jablanica-Shebenik Mountain is increased; Cross-border exchange of experiences and partnerships are created among local authorities and management standards and policies are harmonized and increased; Alternative environmentally friendly practices are promoted and stimulated; Young people are better involved in nature preservation.

Increase participation of the stakeholders and their collaboration for identifying sustainable solutions for their rural communities is enabled.
Results: Increased information accessibility of the relevant stakeholders in the cross-border area of Ohrid Lake, on management of natural resources related to forest and water. More informed rural communities and more responsible authorities related to water and forest management. Local Advisory Groups on Environment established with representation of different stakeholders, actively participating in providing sustainable solutions to their problems.
